I recently signed up for Kaggle to participate in the Microsoft Malware Classification Challenge. On the day after I signed up, Kaggle asked me to verify my identity as a data scientist by asking me:

What is the sum of all numbers less than 4910 that are multiples of 3 or 5?

Luckily, I know my list comprehensions and this was a quick one-liner in python:

  sum([x for x in range(1,4910) if x % 3 == 0 or x % 5 == 0])

This identification strategy was the most legit that I’ve encountered (and made me laugh a bit). Good work, Kaggle.
